PodMed works with PC-based systems running Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows Vista.  The more memory, processor speed, and hard disk space you have, the better. 

For best results, we recommend the following:

Windows XP:

• Pentium P4 or Celeron running at least 2.0 GHz

• 512 MB RAM

• 17" screen for at least 1024 x 768 resolution (and no large fonts)

• 100GB hard disk or more.

• Mouse with scroll wheel

• Keyboard

Windows Vista:

• Pentium D or Duo Core running at least 3.0 GHz

• 2 GB RAM

• 17" screen for at least 1024 x 768 resolution (and no large fonts)

• 200GB hard disk or more.

• Mouse with scroll wheel

• Keyboard

• AGP or PCIe Graphics Card with 256MB RAM if using Aero interface.

If you will be using our built-in speech engine or embedded transcription, a sound card and microphone will be needed.

In addition, you may need to purchase the following to scan or print barcodes:
